Parc Elisabeth

This park contains a rose garden with spouting water, labyrinth, scented plants, fruit bushes, water piece, biotope, strolling path. In the building on site, the “Orangerie”, temporary exhibitions are regularly organized and the concerts of the “Fête de la Musique” are held(each year in June).

 

Rachamps


B-6600 Bastogne

Floral village, bocage of the Ardennes, 12 km of hedges and rows of trees. The church St-Lambert is a listed building and dates from the 11 th century.

The Macar Pond

This site lies northeast of Bastogne, not far from the spring and alongside the stream of Monfroi. It is a stretch of water and moist valley beds, essentially in forest surroundings. The water level in the pond (an RNOB reserve) has decreased dramatically compared to what it was originally.
Some of the birds commonly spotted here include the Reed Bunting, the Marsh Warbler, the Common Grasshopper Warbler, the Black Stork, and in winter, the Water Pipit, the Common Snipe and the Jack Snipe.

The natural parc of Anlier is a rural land, highly valuable from a biological and geographical point of view, and subject to measures whose aim is to protect the environment, while preserving harmony with the wishes of the public and the economic and social development of the land in question. It combines the communes of Bastogne, Vaux-sur-Sûre, Fauvillers, Habay, Martelange and Léglise, a total area of almost 72,000 hectares. This means that nearly 32,000 inhabitants are concerned.

The Natural parc of Bourcy

This parc is located near the villages of Bourcy and Hardigny. Come to discover the Norther Shrike, the Black Stork, the Greater White throat, the Common Grasshopper Warbler and the Reed Bunting.

 

The natural parc of Moinet

This parc extends from the southwest end of the village of Moinet. Come to discover the Black Stork and the Marsh Warbler.

The wood of Peace


Bastogne

The Wood of peace was created on the occasion of the 50th anniversary commemoration of the Battle of the Bulge.
Covering an area of 3 ha, the Wood of Peace contains around 4,000 trees, all species native of the plateau of Bastogne. The trees were planted so as to represent the UNICEF logo when seen from above: a mother and child, universal symbol of affection.
